This is Hayao Miyazaki
Miyazaki is a Japanese film maker, animator and manga artist. He's best known for his films Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle and many more.
He started off as an animator with Toei Animation Studios. He eventually ended up making his first film, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, which was based on a manga that he started a few years before. This led to the opening of Studio Ghibli where he now directs, produces and writes most of the films.

He usually has a strong female lead which is what draws me to his films and his work. His stories aren't filled with blood guts and war, but they still include an exciting adventure. In a new and different world. He fills these worlds with colors and weird creatures who can sometimes be dangerous. There is also a sense of innocence and playfulness to his films sometimes that i also really enjoy. :)
