Heisuke Kitazawa mostly does illustrations. Mostly CD covers and book illustrations.
He uses simple shapes with not a lot of detail, but there is still a lot going on around everything.
I like this because there is not a lot of detail in his shapes and figures. I'm not a fan of doing detail myself and its nice to see someone fell like he has to make every single petal on every flower or every line in a piece of wood or even put a face on a person.
I found Kitazawa on our field trip to the MOCA the other day. We were wondering around looking for food and got to this little plaza and at the entrance there was a little sign with a bunch of his work asking the reading to go on a search for each piece around the plaza. I thought it was pretty neat and would like to go back one day and try to find them.
